Student Design Competition
We’re inviting students of fashion and design to join in on Garden Show Ireland’s festival of flowers, food & fun by designing a creative headpiece for our Student Design Competition!
A catwalk show compered by Pamela Ballantine will give you the opportunity to show off your design skills! Your hat/headpiece can be modelled by you, or by a model of your choosing.
The design should be based on one of the following:
- Into the wild: Taking inspiration from the rugged Antrim coast.
- What a lot of flowers: Taking inspiration from the many summer flowering meadows across Ireland.
- Tropical toppers: Taking inspiration from the Botanic Gardens, Belfast.
Catwalks will take place on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 June with a final on Sunday 16 June 2024.
A panel of judges led by renowned horticulturist and former model, Marie Staunton, will award prizes on Sunday 16 June, the final day of Garden Show Ireland.
All you need to do is sign up by 20 May 2024 by completing the online application and sending us a photo of your masterpiece!
