Geoff Stebbings

Geoff Stebbings from www.thebikinggardener.com - The Show's Resident Gardening Guru

A lifelong biker, since he was 17 and gardener, since he was 7!

Geoff trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and worked in a garden centre at an airplant nursery.

He became Head Gardener at Myddelton House in Enfield, North London (made famous by the great amateur gardener E A Bowles) before embarking on a writing career, first with Garden News, then various others before joining The Garden (journal of the Royal Horticultural Society) and then going freelance.

He went on to become Editor of Garden Answers but left in December 2012 to move to Ireland to get back to his roots and get his hands dirty again.

In addition to writing in magazines Geoff has several books to his name:

  • Gorgeous Garden Boosters (Readers Digest)
  • Growing Your own Fruit and Veg for Dummies
  • Spring Bulbs – Daffodils, Tulips and Hyacinths
  • The Gardeners’ Guide to Growing Irises

Geoff describes himself as a general horticulturist and will have grown anything he can get his hands on!
